Are you looking for a sweet little teapot that will make you smile each time you use it? Look no further. This blue-and-white beauty will serve happiness with each cup you pour. (And it pours like a dream, by the way.)
This teapot was thrown on the potter's wheel in separate pieces - body, the lid, and spout. They were trimmed, assembled, and then a perky little handle added. It was dried slowly so no joints would crack. When finally dry, it was fired and glazed with a layer technique of white and blue. Finally it was given its final firing. But that wasn't the end! Then, a special compound was used between the lid and body to make sure the fitting is as smooth as silk. No nasty scratching noise, just smooth sliding. A lot goes in to making a teapot! And each step is fun and satisfying.
